Though the southeastern U.S. may not appreciate this as much, this made me laugh out loud. Pretty funny dialogue!

Michael-T-Scott responds:

That's fine because I didn't appreciate them much, either. Moving away after living there 24 years is like getting a spiritual enema (one aspect I didn't put into this piece).

I'd say its not bad for your first one. Congrats on your first animation!
I would advise you to make future submissions a bit longer. Also, slow down the text towards the end so we have time to read it. Nice job!

qualcugu responds:

thanks for the feedback :)

I had a good laugh at the suprise ending. Well thought out and executed nicely! The film grain effect was a nice touch, and the music set the mood perfectly. Great job!

YULFO83 responds:

Thanks so Much :)

Overall it wasnt to bad..
The music was enjoyable, and fit perfectly..Nothing like a piano to highlight the horror that is to come : )
However, a lot of your artwork could use some polish. I noticed you use a lot of gradients. Gradients are a sin when it comes to artwork, and should be used sparingly. the animation was also very choppy in some parts. Like i said before, not to bad but could definitely use some improvement.

TimFelt responds:

Gradients are great for flash, why not use it, its not like i'm drawing on paper it adds a great detail,
thanks for the overall, as for the music you should comment on it too, if you liked it, i know my artwork is a little weird but that's because i still need more practice, but thank you!

After seeing some of your other stuff, I have some suggestions. Why dont you try animating more body movement? Most of these are a series of stills with minor lip-syncing...and some of it is relatively poor. Though its great you continue to put out submissions, it would be much better if you practiced some frame-by-frame basics. Your art style is also very inconsistent. Some backgrounds look amazing, yet others look like they were done in MS Paint. Your characters are also drawn very inconsistently..Unless your going for the Squidbillies look, I would recommend new character designs. Again, you could benefit greatly with some more effort and practice.. Look forward to more.

RogersEntertainment responds:

These are my old episodes the brand new Episodes will upload until Friday sorry about the confusion

Haha.

Hate when that happens. I loved the animation in this. The colors, characters, setting, music and voices where great! only I felt it could have been a little longer. I get the joke, but it could have been much funnier. Not bad for 48hrs

CatFat responds:

Yeah we planned to make it alot longer, so it continued after the restaraunt, but realised it wasn't a realistic goal within the amount of time we had :P
Thanks!

Well,

Seeing as how this is your second animation, I went back and watched your first one.. Just wanted to see if you had made any improvement. Unfortunately, your not showing much progress. My advice would be to experiment a bit more with frame by frame animation. Tweens are great, but only when used correctly.. For example, the shape tween you used where the "unfortunate boy" got pecked to death..That could have looked MUCH better.

Keep trying! I look forward to see your next one. If you ever need any help, please let me know.

All4Flash responds:

Thanks for the advice! :)

starcraft fan huh?

I love your art and shading of the characters. However, the excessive use of motion tweens really hurts this. Also, I imagine an "episode" should be more than 20 seconds long. nice try..loved the starcraft reference.

Gerkinman responds:

Motion easing is fine when used well, which obviously it isnt in this flash, as there is no easing, followthrough or anticipation. Hopefully my newer work will look much better.

nicely done

you captured the essense of madness perfectly. its obvious you put lots of time, care and effort into this. awesome job!

hope to see more from you in the future.

tomtyke responds:

thanks, i did! :D

alot of pain as well, when suddenly, all of my feet sounds disappeared for no reason, lol flash is so buggy

frame by frame is beast.

but only if you put insane amounts of effort into it.. just because its your first time doesn't mean you should half ass it. .. trust me, i learned that lesson the hard way when i submitted my first flash.
You really could have made up for the quality if you would have simply made this longer. Before you submit something else, RESIST the urge to submit early. A poor animation thats finished, in my opinion, is better than an o.k. one thats less than 15 seconds long.
Keep practicing. FBF is tough but it pays off if you stick with it. Youve already shown you grasp the concept. now its time for refinement and polish.
keep it up and let me know if you need any help in the future.
good luck!

KnutCases responds:

Yeah I've seen other FBF work and its been pretty damn amazing, I just didnt want to pile a great deal of work into an animation that would get blammed in a few mins. Theres no point making a massive flash if no-one likes your work. I'll take your advice into consideration, thanks. :)

so i thought what id do is pretend i was one of those deaf mutes......
